One of the latest and probably one of the highest specified ever built, commissioned in February 1998. She was ordered and specified with the aim of extended blue water cruising in safety and comfort.
The Standard Oceanquest was based on the seven berth ‘Seahawk’, itself designed for ‘long distance live aboard luxury’, and was an even more luxurious four berth cruiser.
‘Pelican Bill’ has a host of additional specifications, both built in and added later to promote safety, comfort and ease of handling, and has been lovingly and meticulously maintained.
She has never been raced and never been motor sailed and has had one careful owner since new. She has been used for extensive quiet cruising in the waters of the South Coast from the River Deben to the Helford River, with trips to the Channel Islands, Brittany, France, Belgium and Holland.
